Guide

Can you use the PSG grant for a QR code ordering system?

Yes, if the specific package is pre-approved. The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) co-funds pre-scoped digital solutions for Singapore SMEs, and F&B ordering and QR ordering systems are among the solution categories. You must pick a pre-approved vendor package listed on the GoBusiness portal and apply through the Business Grants Portal before signing or paying anything. Support levels and lists change, so always check the official portal for current terms.

How PSG works for F&B businesses

The Productivity Solutions Grant is run by Enterprise Singapore with sector agencies. Instead of reviewing every purchase individually, the government pre-approves specific vendor packages — a defined solution at a defined price. If you buy one of those packages, a portion of the cost is co-funded.

For F&B, solution categories have included ordering systems (including QR and mobile ordering), POS, inventory management and kitchen display systems.

Process

How to apply, step by step

  1. Choose a pre-approved package

Search the GoBusiness Gov Assist portal for the solution and vendor. Note the exact package name.

  2. Get a quotation

The vendor issues a quotation matching the approved package.

  3. Apply on the Business Grants Portal

Log in with Corppass and submit with the quotation. Do not sign or pay yet.

  4. Accept the Letter of Offer

Once approved, accept the offer — then sign with the vendor and go live.

  5. Submit your claim

After delivery and payment, submit invoices and proof of payment.

Common mistakes that get PSG claims rejected

  • Signing or paying the vendor before the grant is approved.
  • Buying a different package (or extra items) from the one on the approved quotation.
  • Missing the claim deadline after the project ends.
  • Getting refunds, rebates or "free" items from the vendor that reduce the real cost.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does PSG cover for QR ordering?

PSG has co-funded up to 50% of qualifying costs for most pre-approved solutions since April 2023, though support levels have changed several times. The exact amount depends on the approved package price. Check the GoBusiness portal for the current percentage.

Can I claim PSG after I have already bought the system?

No. PSG applications must be submitted and approved before you sign a contract or make any payment for the solution. Purchases made first are generally not claimable.

Is the monthly subscription covered?

Only the costs listed in the approved package, which can include setup, hardware and a fixed period of subscription. Ongoing fees after that period, and transaction fees, are usually not covered.
